Steven C. Wilheim
Steven C. Wilheim received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1996 from Southwestern University School of Law. Mr. Wilheim graduated magna cum laude from Southwestern’s prestigious, accelerated S.C.AL.E. (Southwestern’s Conceptual Approach of Legal Education) program and served as member of Southwestern’s Law Review. He is a five—time recipient of the American Jurisprudence Book Award in the areas of Constitutional Law, Civil Practice, Appellate Advocacy, Contractual Risk and Mistake, and Criminal Procedure.
Prior to starting his own ﬁrm, Mr. Wilhelm was a senior litigation associate at Balisok & Msociates, Inc. for over 12 years and devoted his practice to representing victims of elder abuse and neglect by bringing actions against nursing homes and residential care facilities, and also against HMOs who wrongfully denied or delayed necessary medical care to enrollees. Subsequently, Mr. Wilheim was a senior associate personally handling a wide variety of cases at the Long Beach offices of Vlfilkes & McHugh, PA, a nationwide civil litigation firm specializing in complex cases involving catastrophic injury. In addition to helping individuals obtain just compensation for their injuries, Mr. Wilheim has represented individual and small
business clients in a wide range of other complex litigation matters, including real estate litigation, legal and professional malpractice, contract disputes, and probate litigation.
Mr. Wilhelm is licensed to practice law in the State of California, and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
In addition to his over 15 years of civil litigation and trial experience, Mr. Wilheim has represented his clients before the California Appellate Courts, and the California Supreme Court, and has been involved in over a dozen published cases addressing developing issues in the field of elder abuse litigation.
